Rick Roder is a former professional umpire and former Head Rules Instructor at the Joe Brinkman Umpire School.
For decades, Rick has taught baseball rules to umpires, coaches, instructors, and students of the game. Through that experience, he discovered that many baseball rules were difficult to locate, understand, and apply correctly.
To solve that problem, Rick partnered with Chris Jaksa to create The Rules of Professional Baseball, a comprehensive guide that reorganizes and explains professional baseball rules in a clear, logical format.
Today, the book is used by umpires, coaches, instructors, and serious baseball enthusiasts across the country.
